Fly high in one of three spectacular hot air balloons
We would love for you to fly high with us and be one of the inaugural sponsors for our first-ever fundraiser for Quest Community Health Centre on Friday, June 21, 2024, the Summer Solstice. Here’s what we envision for the fundraiser:
Guests will enjoy an exclusive evening that includes a tethered hot air balloon ride (up to 150 feet above the gorgeous land surrounding 13th Street Winery), delicious appetizers, drinks, a live and a silent auction, as well as other games and fun to get our guests interacting within each other and our sponsors while learning more about Quest and the important work we do.
Imagine an event where attendees will enjoy a rarely available opportunity to see the countryside like never before: floating in the summer sky as the sun sets on Summer Solstice. The balloons will be seen from far and wide as well.
This event will help Quest CHC provide support for St. Catharines’ most vulnerable. New Heights will serve as the capstone event for a fundraising campaign dedicated to Quest’s award-winning peer support program “Niagara HELPS”.
Niagara HELPS peer support navigators help people who come to emergency rooms who identify as homeless living with a mental health or addiction crisis. The HELPS navigator stays with the person until they leave emergency or are admitted to hospital. The support continues as the navigator connects the person with programs and services based on their needs so individuals aren’t living from crisis to crisis and rely on the emergency departments of hospitals.
Individuals challenged by homelessness face significant barriers in accessing healthcare. Many are hesitant to seek medical assistance, and frequently are discharged back to the street. We advocate for health equity and inclusion while addressing the social determinates of health for individuals experiencing chronic, persistent, acute, or episodic mental health crises.
