As part of the Ontario Government’s Primary Care Action Plan, five primary care providers across Niagara are getting $12.2 million to expand. This will connect more than 23,000 people to a primary care in Niagara.

Quest Community Health Centre is grateful to the Ontario Ministry of Health and Ontario Health for their investment in expanding access to primary care across the province. This funding will help connect more people in our community to the care and support they need, strengthening access to essential health services in Niagara.

As a result of this investment, Quest will be able to expand its interdisciplinary team by hiring a Physician, Kinesiologist, Registered Nurse, Client Coordinator, and Therapist. These new positions will enhance our capacity to provide comprehensive, coordinated care and support more individuals in accessing timely primary health care services.

Community Health Centres play a vital role in Ontario’s health system by delivering team-based, person-centred care that addresses both health needs and the social factors that influence well-being. Through an integrated approach to care, Community Health Centres work to improve health outcomes while reducing barriers to access for individuals and families.

At Quest, we are committed to meeting people where they are and providing equitable, accessible care that supports the whole person. This investment will allow us to reach more community members, strengthen our services, and continue building healthier individuals and stronger communities.

We thank the Ontario Ministry of Health and Ontario Health for their commitment to improving access to primary care and for recognizing the important role Community Health Centres play in creating a healthier future for all.
